Privacy Policy

Version 1 · effective 2026-10-15

Who this policy is about

This policy is published by Geraldton Organised Primary Producers Co-operative Limited (ABN 54 082 636 127), trading as GOPP ("GOPP", "we", "us" or "our"). It covers the information collected through this website. It does not cover the information GOPP holds about you once you are a member or a partner, which is governed by your membership or partner agreement.

What this website collects

This website collects information in two places only: the enquiry forms and the newsletter sign-up. If you send an enquiry, we collect the business name you give, your name, your email address, and — if you provide them — your phone number, your town and postcode, your ABN, and whatever you write in the message field. If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your business name, your name and your email address.

We also record the time of the submission, the browser user agent string your browser sends, and a salted one-way hash of the network address the submission came from. The address itself is not stored. The hash lets us tell that two submissions came from the same origin, which is how the forms resist automated abuse; it cannot be reversed into an address or a location.

What this website does not collect

There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising network and no third-party script on this site. No cookies are set. Nothing you do on these pages is recorded unless you submit a form, and if you close the page without submitting, nothing about your visit is kept.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, or to send you the newsletter you asked for. An enquiry creates a lead record in our own systems so that a person can follow it up. We do not sell information, we do not share it with our partners for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.

Who can see it

GOPP staff, and the people who run GOPP's systems on its behalf, where they need to in order to operate them. We do not give it to anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and sign-ups are kept as a record of what was submitted and what happened to it. A submission we could not act on, including one caught by the abuse controls, is kept so that the controls can be reviewed and corrected: a genuine enquiry wrongly turned away is a failure we want to be able to find.

Consent

The forms ask you to agree to this policy before they will accept a submission, and record which version of it you agreed to. If you do not agree, the form does not create a record.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by contacting us through the contact page. You can ask us to stop sending the newsletter at any time. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

Each published version of this policy is kept, with the dates it was in effect. A change creates a new version; it does not overwrite the version you agreed to.
